AroundTownKids - Allen Special Events

The AroundTownKids Allen Special Events Section features "special" events for kids & families in Allen such as kids concerts, Disney on Ice shows, kids theatre productions etc. These Events are located in Allen and in the DFW Area.

A Year With Frog & Toad

Disney's High School Musical On Tour!

Description: With a plot described as a modern retelling of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, it’s the story of two high school students from rival cliques: Troy Bolton, captain of the basketball team, and Gabriella Montez, a shy transfer student who excels in math and science. Together, they try out for the lead parts in their high school musical, and as a result, divide the school. Despite other students' attempts to thwart their dreams, Troy and Gabriella resist peer pressure and rivalry, inspiring others along the way not to "stick with the status quo."

Eyes on Earth

Description: EYES ON EARTH is a new, highly interactive science exhibition that focuses on the EOS and examines how satellite observations are made and what we can learn about the Earth using space technology. Designed primarily for families and school groups (upper elementary through adults), visitors learn what a satellite is, discover the different types of orbits, and explore cutting-edge technology similar to that used by EOS scientists. EYES ON EARTH brings these concepts “down to earth” through a combination of fun, accessible interactive displays in a playful and “spacey” environment. The exhibit explores the basics of satellites, orbits, and satellite technology
Cost: General admission is $8.75 for adults, $5.50 for children 3 to 11, and $7.75 for youth 12 to 18
