The ACO Resale Shop is proof of the generosity that exists in the Allen area. Thanks to the donations of gently used clothing, furniture and household items, the Resale Shop offers a service to families in need by providing a place to "shop" for necessities. Open to the public, it’s also a bargain shopper’s paradise and proceeds support vital programs to help others.
Center for Parent Education
The purpose of the center is to respond to the needs of families through research, advocacy, resources and leadership for professionals interested in meeting the needs of parents and families. The Center for Parent Education assists in the establishment of partnerships with parents, schools, and agencies through research and seminars.

The Child Safe Network's mission is to protect our nations most valuable asset, our children! Our organization is dedicated to educating and preventing missing, and abducted children.
Due to the passing of Megan's Law, convicted sex offenders must register with local police in the communities in which they live. The Child Safe Network provides parents and guardians with the ability to search these databases of convicted sex offenders.

CITY House, Collin Intervention to Youth, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving youth and families from Collin County and surrounding counties.
For 16 years, CITY House has been providing a safe environment for 10 to 17 year olds in the only teen homeless shelter in Collin County.
CITY Family Center has been providing free counseling to families since 1996 to help resolve their physical and emotional crises.
The Transitional Living Program, begun in 2001, has been helping older teens and young adults learn the skills needed to lead independent and productive lives.

Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian housing organization. We welcome all people to join us as we build simple, decent, affordable houses in partnership with those who lack adequate shelter.
Started in 1993 as McKinney Habitat for Humanity, an affiliate of Habitat International. In 2002, scope expanded to include North Collin County, so name changed to North Collin County Habitat for Humanity, Inc. Currently have built homes in McKinney, Celina and Melissa.
How to qualify:
1. Must have Housing need, be willing to partner with Habitat, and ability to pay mortgage.
2. Agree to work sweat equity hours of 300 hours per adult
3. Income range between 30 – 60 % median income, Collin County median income is $70,835
4. A family must make between $21,250 - $42,500 annually for a family of four

Parenting Information
A division of the Mental Health Association.The Parenting Information web pages are sponsored by the Mental Health Association in Texas (MHAT). MHAT is an original affiliate of the National Mental Health Association, the oldest citizens' mental health advocacy and education organization in Texas.
Founded in 1935 as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, MHAT reaches out to communities across Texas to promote mental health, prevent mental disorders, and improve the care and treatment of people with mental illnesses through education and advocacy.
